Reason:
Further to our various communications relating to the merger of The Stag Holyrood Practice and The Sheldon Practice, the clinical computer system is being upgraded to accommodate this merger. For this upgrade to be undertaken the server that holds the clinical system for the practice need to be completely shutdown.
What does this mean?
The clinical and administrative staff will not be able to access patient records from 12pm on Tuesday 23rd July 2019 until the system is made available from 8 am on Wednesday 24th July 2019.
Will it affect the patient seeing the doctor or clinician?
The clinicians or administrative staff will not be able to access your medical records for the half day when the system is down. However they will be able to see you for your illness.
What has the practice put in place as contingency?
The practice will provide additional doctor or Nurse Practitioner for the morning session to accommodate as many patients who can be seen on the day. There will be appointments for emergencies in the afternoon with the doctor.
What will happen to Prescription’s request?
If you have requested for prescription, the practice will ensure that this is forwarded to your pharmacy the following day. You would need to put your request in on Monday morning to allow enough time for them to be processed and sent to your pharmacy.
